Meet the artist :: Jennie O’Connell

Jennie is an artist and illustrator from Galway. She has a particular interest in illustrating for children and nostalgic adults. Jennie works in watercolour, gouache, ink, and digital. Her work is colourful, evocative, and often very detailed.

In 2022 Jennie was commissioned by Macnas to bring Con Mór the Giant into the classroom.

In 2021 Jennie was commissioned by Baboro Arts Festival for Children to produce paintings for a solo exhibition. ‘Our Day Out’ exhibited with Engage Arts Studios
